While I completely agree and love that these are nutritious alternatives, it is not unheard of for children to be allergic to these "butters" as well.
I grew up allergic to all nuts, all seeds, eggs, milk and a variety of other things. And schools were no where near being "Nut Free" back then. So if possible, check with the parents of at least those children known to have an allergy, to make sure these are safe too! Better safe than sorry. :)
PS - This is the best website I have found to date for ideas to feed my family! I am hooked and wish I had found it sooner!

You can also get Soy Nut Butter that is processed in peanut free facilities. My daughter had a peanut allergy for about a year (thankfully she outgrew it!) and the allergist recommended we buy soy nut butter. After she got the all-clear for peanuts again, I was surprised to find both kids still asking for soy nut butter and sunflower seed butter. Now we stock all three (we get them all at the grocery store) and I like that the kids get more variety in the same "PB&J" type sandwich.
