Brown Rice Cereal Program

I love your website. love your enthusiastic way of cooking.
i cooked brown rice twice before for my family and it took
45 mins approx. now i am really apprehensive that by just adding boiling water to brown rice would not be cooked enough to feed my 8 month old.
Can you please reply.

  Since you first grind the brown rice to make a powder for this recipe, the cooking time is far shorter than when cooking full grains of rice! http://weelicious.com/2011/02/28/brown-rice-cereal/ Here is a link to the full recipe.

Very basic question. I place the specified amount of organic short grain brown rice into the blender for 2 minutes. Then I cooked it as directed but it was too hard. Was I supposed to cook it for longer than 5 minutes? I didn’t dare feed it to the baby since he cannot chew yet. There were still some pieces that looked a little too big.

  You can add a touch of molasses, apple sauce, mashed banana, cinnamon, breast milk or other puree

I’ve made baby cereal with brown rice and oatmeal in my blender, it worked well.
