I’d like to try these but I don’t have any of the coating ingredients on hand. Are there any substitutes? Can I use crushed corn flakes or too bland?

This reminds me of a book my 2 year old son loves called “Yummy, Yucky”. They include “fish sticks” as yummy and all I can think of are the frozen cardboard pieces I had to eat as a kid! I make fish a lot but haven’t tried tilapia yet, I’ll add that to the list.

I’d like to try these but I have an egg-allergic toddler. Can I omit or substitute for the egg? Thanks!

Try dipping them in buttermilk :)

You could use buttermilk instead of the egg :)

Tilapia is good, it’s nice and mild tasting.

Yum! I will make these to freeze for my babies. My only modification would be avoid using a teflon-coated pan. Thanks for all your yummy recipes and great ideas!

I totally hear you about the teflon. I only use the teflon when I’m cooking things at a low to medium heat and if they get a deep scratch I toss them.
