From the first bites of food I offered my kids when they were babies, sweet potatoes were always a favorite. My son would eat an entire sweet potato if I handed it to him. Being that their tiny little hands couldn't hold the whole thing up, mashed sweet potatoes seem like a much better choice.
In my quest to find new ingredients to tempt their taste buds I realized that he hadn't tried coconut milk. Sweet and creamy, it adds body and depth to the puree. Add a touch of cinnamon, pop it in the Babycook to puree until smooth. Yummy delicious and nutritious for your wee one!
One of my favorite baby retailers, giggle, is offering a $250 gift card to one lucky Weelicious reader (scroll down to enter). giggle is great for helping new parents get started, and my recipe below uses the Babycook food maker, available at giggle, to make food prep easier. Imagine buying the Babycook if you're the gift card winner!
