How to Make Chicken Tortilla Soup

When Kenya walked in the house from school one day last week he screamed out, "what smells so good?!" If the smell of homemade Chicken Tortilla Soup permeating the air wasn't enough to pique his interest, the fun factor of getting to crush a handful of tortilla chips into his bowl before eating it certainly sealed the deal!

Make this soup to serve fresh or keep a batch in the freezer and just warm it up whenever you're in the mood and prepare to get the same great reaction from your troops!

    Thanks for the easy recipe. I forgot to by the green pepper but had a can of green chile peppers. It tasted really good.

    We love chicken tortilla soup in our house,we put ours over spanish rice add the chips and a sliced avacado,so good.

    We love chicken tortilla soup; it is in regular rotation in the fall and winter months. But I have never frozen it. Does it freeze/defrost well? Any tips?

      It freezes and defrosts beautifully! Just leave out the tortilla chips! I like to place the frozen soup directly in a pot and defrost/reheat on the stove.

    yumm… I always wondered about making a chicken tortilla soup and here it is from my favorite one stop website! Thanks for the video.
