Fun Crafts for Kids! KiwiCrate Giveaway!

Given the choice of what we're going to do on any given weekend, 9 times out of 10 my kids will decide to stay home and do non-stop art projects. With all of their after school activities and running around during the week by the time Saturday and Sunday come around, all they want to do is stay around the house and create.

A year or so ago I was introduced to Kiwi Crate, which is kind of like a craft of the month club. From the very first boxes my kids received in the mail, they were totally hooked. Now whenever they see a package at the front door they ask if it's a Kiwi Crate for them. Last weekend we had the best time working on Kiwi Crate's new Crafty Christmas kits. Every box includes two projects so we were totally occupied and sat by the fire for hours working on them. We made a Gingerbread house (crumb free!) and accompanying Christmas tree which the kids decorated to their hearts content. The other project, which they also loved, was make your own ornaments. Each kid got three clear plastic ornaments to fill with paint and swirl into a unique design. The coolest part is that Kiwi Crates has three different holiday boxes to choose from: Handmade Hanukkah, Crafty Christmas and Gifts Made By Me.
