How to Make Holiday Brunch for a Crowd: Christmas Breakfast Strata

Let's say you haven't entertained in….well, maybe ever, and this year you've got twelve people invading your house for holiday brunch. What are you going to do?

This is my foolproof recipe for a delicious breakfast strata, which is essentially a savory bread pudding. It's perfect for a family get together because I find that everyone loves it no matter what their age. You take crusty bread and mix it with sharp cheese, eggs and other goodies, which when baked all together smell like heaven right out of the oven.

The best part about this dish is that you can prepare it the day before your guests arrive and refrigerate it until you are ready to serve it. Simply pop it in the oven Christmas morning before the crowd arrives and use all that found free time to relax and enjoy your family!

    If I want to assemble the night before and then serve the next morning, do I assemble everything, cover and refridgerate then the next morning completely bake or do I assemble, cook, cover and refridgerate and then reheat the next morning? Which do you recomend?

      You could really do it either way! Assemble it, cover and refrigerate overnight, then pop in the oven in the morning! Or you could make it completely, let it cool, refrigerate and then rewarm in the morning!
