Munchkin Giveaway- Three Winners

Munchkin Giveaway

Yum

Even though Weelicious now primarily focuses on recipes for the entire family, it all started with baby food. On days when I think about about having another baby I fantasize about getting to make homemade purees again and get absolutely giddy. It really was one of my favorite stages of being a mom. From carefully picking out the produce to lovingly preparing it to watching my little ones' sweet faces tasting each and every new fruit and vegetable (even when on the road), to me the experience of turning babies on to new flavors and textures is a most magical one.

You don't need a lot of fancy equipment to make homemade purees, and Munchkin sure does make it affordable with their easy to use products and tools. Munchkin is offering three (3) lucky winners a Fresh Food Chopper and Steamer, Fresh Food Grinder, Freezer Trays and Click Lock Fresh Food Freezer Pops. Whether you have a new baby or know someone who does, this is the gift basket for you.

To enter just tell me the first food your baby ever tried. I can't wait to hear your answers! Good luck!

This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to the winners!

One of my mother’s favorite food it sweet potato. When she gave birth to my first little sister and we fed her the sweet potato baby food her eyes got wide and she got the biggest smile on her
face. It was instantaneously her favorite food. After that we didn’t buy the baby food we just mashed up what mom didn’t eat when she baked her own sweet potatoes and gave it to her.I love watching my younger siblings try new healthy foods that will make their lives better.

After organic brown rice cereal and organic oatmeal cereal, both mixed with breastmilk, my baby’s first food was yellow squash! He’s now 3 years old and loves fruits, veggies and trying new things! Soon my 4 month old will be ready for foods and I can’t wait to see his reactions to all the wonderful flavors, these tools would sure be nice to have! I just found this website, thanks for all the tips! :)

Cereal? Vegetable? Fruit? Hmmm…Even though he’s my fifth child, I was unsure what first food I wanted to introduce to him. I went with vegetable – sweet potato – at 6 months. Pureed to the max and smooth as silk – those first expressions of food meeting mouth were pretty funny. Now at 8 months he’s mastering soft finger foods and lumpier textures, but he still loves pureed sweet potato.

With my first 4 children I started then with fresh steamed veggies until we had every one for the 2 week trail time. I then started fruits. My kids never liked the cereals. I think with baby #5 on its way I am going to keep up with what I did in the past. Because 2 in the family have allergies to gluten and dairy .

Because we are having our first in November I don’t have an answer for the question, but I can tell you what I would like to have our baby try first. I think asparagus would be great, or maybe avocado so they learn to love it unlike their mama!

Best part of being a mom to Peyton and sharing each and every milestone with her.

nothing exciting, but the first food she tried was oatmeal, and she definitely was not a fan of it. The first jar of food she tried, boring again, was applesauce, and she didn’t like that either. Both times she kept tilting her head way back almost like she had to force swallow it to go down. It was pretty funny, and she did that after every bite.

My son started with rice cereal, but the first non-cereal food hehad was peas, and they are still his favorite, even after having had lots of other fruits and veggies.

Having a child who had 16 teeth at 10 months has made feeding a special challenge at our house. He wants more texture and we want to make sure he’s getting all the healthy, nutritious food that he needs to keep growing. This system would really help us..

I think unfortunately her first food was oatmeal or rice cereal. There were bits of banana, peach or apple purée too. First veggie was either puréed green beans or sweet potatoes. We have another on the way so I’m looking forward to skipping so much “cereal” go with more veg and fruit! Thanks for the opportunity of your give away!
