Three $100 Temp-tations Cookware Gift Cards Giveaway!

The food you make is important. Very important.

What you serve it in can be just as essential; presentation is a key component to good food. This is especially the case during the holidays when you're trying to impress a crowd with all the loving hard work you put into every recipe. You want to make sure to serve it in the best.

I have a weakness for handcrafted kitchenware. Just ask my husband who asks me weekly if we can scale back on the four sets of dishes I keep crammed in our cupboard (and use frequently). The redundancy drives him crazy but what can I say, I have a slight addiction to plates, bowls, and platters, you get my drift.

Instead of treating myself to anymore plates this Christmas and further incurring my husband's wrath, I want to put some all purpose, all-temperature, food safe stoneware from Temp-Tations. Not only are Temp-Tations' eye catching patterns beautiful to look at, they're also incredibly functional, many going easily from oven to table.

To win one of three $100 gift certificates to pick out the designs that work best in your kitchen, just tell me one dish you always make during the holidays.

Winners will be selected at random and announced next week. Good luck!

This giveaway is now closed. Congratulations to the winners!

I love the gorgeous blue pattern! Blue is my favorite color. We do Thanksgiving and Christmas as a family buffet. With everyone bring their best dish. My donations every year by popular “demand” are Pumpkin, Molasses Pecan, Apple-Pear-Berry Pies and Cranberry Jello Salad/Molds. Somehow our family of 16 manages to eat 6 full pies and 2 large Jello salads. The only things I take home at the end of the day, are the sparkling clean dishes!

Every year I make a cheat on beef Wellington. I grill the filet mignon, bake puff pastry rectangles that I split and place the grilled filet that I top with a mushroom compote and red wine Demi glacé then topped with the other half of the puff pastry. Everyone gets their own.

    Potato latkes
Only this year, we served them on our table with the Thanksgiving turkey, homemade babaganouj, homemade cranberry sauce, stuffing (dressing), etc. My mother also invented a sauceless meatballs recipe, infused with the homemade cranberry sauce, that I thought was spectacular. They were also healthier.

I put chicken breasts in the pan and brown them. Then I add sliced bell colorful peppers and mushrooms, diced tomatoes, basil, oregano, garlic, and thyme.
