Breakfast means business around here! While our kids enjoy parfaits or Happy Eggs, we generally make warm breakfasts like pancakes, Waffle French Toast or Crispy Eggs. I really only serve cold cereal a few times a year as the kids prefer hot cereals like Berry Delicious Oatmeal. It's one of the easiest, most nutritious breakfast recipes to make when you literally have 5 minutes to cook and keeps happy bellies and moods all around. Watch this Berry Delicious Oatmeal Video so you can make this one of your weekly meals when you're short on time.

The best part of this recipe is that you probably have all the ingredients in your pantry. Oats, check. Honey. Check. Frozen berries? If you don't have a few bags on hand at all times you really should! You can use them in smoothies, in icing and especially in warm cereals. The oats can be piping hot and when you add the berries in at the last moment it cools the cereal down to the perfect temperature for little mouthes to enjoy.

In the comments below I would love to hear what your family enjoys best in their oatmeal and if you make this recipe I want to see the images! Just tag @weelicious or #weerecipes on social media. Enjoy!

Have you tried McCanns steel cut oatmeal? Even my husband will eat that! It is a little pricey but very good.

OMG. I was never a big fan of oatmeal like so. But this is a whole other way of thinking for me. In the netherlands we mostly eat bread every morning and lunch. And i wassen’t really a bread lover.

Even my little ones loves it. But only wants the strawberries. but no biggy it’s still healthy

Ah, oatmeal! My fav! We enjoy mashed bananas or sweet potatoes, or nuts & raisins, or cinnamon, nuts & raisins, and especially pumpkin, pumpkin pie spice and nuts with a little maple syrup!
