Golden Potato Gratin

golden-potato-gratin.jpg

I'm a big fan of potatoes because they're inexpensive, versatile, delicious and kids tend to love them. This Golden Potato Gratin is a fantastic dish to prepare for both adults and kids because although it looks quite fancy, it's also super easy to prepare.

I love using Yukon gold potatoes for this recipe. They have a golden color, buttery taste and waxy (holds up well to being sliced and baked) finish that makes them a perfect choice. Most groceries and supermarkets carry them and they can also be found most months at your local farmer's market. But, if you can't find them, you can really use any type of baking potato. This is the perfect dish to serve at a party, holiday gathering or just a regular family dinner when you want to try to satisfy everyone's taste buds!
