There’s no way to describe the looks on Kenya, Chloe, hubby’s and my faces when we tasted the first peaches of the season at our local farmers’ market two weeks ago. As soon as I spotted them, I think I shrieked! Actually, I know I did because my husband looked at me like I was a crazy person (he’s used to it by now though, as it’s generally how I act whenever I see a fruit or vegetable I love that’s reappeared at the market after a long absence). But of all of the produce I adore, peaches are way up on the list and if you’ve ever seen my kids eat them, you’d observe that the peach doesn’t fall too far from the tree.

Especially when it gets hot, I like to take really ripe fruit and make popsicles. Between the luscious strawberries and succulent peaches available at this time of year, you probably only need a dash of honey to brighten the flavor of these pops. Why spend a bunch of money on packaged popsicles made with artificial coloring and all sorts of additives when you and your kids can make these super easy, truly all-natural, refreshing pops that are the perfect treat on a warm summer’s day!

    4. Made these tonight with my daughters. We haven’t had them frozen yet but we drank the leftovers (only had 4 molds) So yummy…great refreshing flavors and all natural! Looking forward to tasting the popsicle.

    5. I love making “smoothie pops” as my son calls them, but haven’t used peaches yet. Did you peel them, or is it not necessary? PS – Our current fave is frozen banana + vanilla soymilk + frozen mixed berries.

    6. Made these today, they are in the freezer for tomorrow! Got to drink the “left over” for a smoothy! Yummmmmmmmyyyyy!

    7. WOW. these look great! ordered my Popsicle molds last night..cant wait to try these for my 19 mo old 🙂

    8. Hi, Tanya! I have these same popsicle molds. I think the popsicle on the bottom is still in its plastic case. The one on top probably looks darker because it’s been opened. Hope that helps!

    9. In the picture on this recipe, it looks like one pop is darker in color than the other. Is there a variation in the recipe, or am I seeing things? 🙂 Thanks for yet another great recipe that I can make with vegan substitutes!

    10. Can’t wait to try these! My daughter is allergic to strawberries but she adores peaches and I have some blueberries that I froze in the freezer. So excited to give these a go!

    11. I love homemade popiscles. I too use the Tovolo, rocket ship mold. It is the best one out there. The plastic is sturdy. I made homemade fugdicles and it came out great.

    12. I just ordered the molds with the cone bottoms that you mentioned. Too cute! I can’t wait to try them out. I think they will be easier for my 2 yr old to handle than the thinner stick like bottoms. Thanks for sharing!

    13. I bought the same exact molds in green on amazon. They are actually a very large, full sized, grown up pop. I also got some awesome popsicle molds made with kids in mind; they are shaped like ice cream cones. The handle is a “cone” and the molds are soft serve ice cream shaped. The cone handle doubles as a drip cup that they can drink the melted juice out of when they’re done. My daughter and her friends love them. We also do mango puree (they sell it prepackaged at Trader Joe’s in indivudual servings for smoothies, etc.)and orange juice then water it down and pour into molds AND frozen strawberries with plain yogurt and a bit of honey. The possibilities are endless!

    14. We love homemade popsicles! I actually just posted homemade organic bomb pops using pureed strawberries, blueberries, and vanilla yogurt! Summer fruit rocks!!!
