Homemade Coffee Creamer

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups condensed milk, canned or homemade (recipe below)
  • 1 cup milk (whole, almond, or coconut)
  • 1-2 tablespoons maple syrup (depending on desired level of sweetness)
  • 1 teaspoon arrowroot powder
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • Flavorings, optional:
  • Cinnamon Strudel: 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon + 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • Chocolate Mint: 1 tablespoon cocoa powder + 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  • Chocolate Almond: 1 tablespoon cocoa powder + 1 teaspoon almond extract
  • French Vanilla: 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For the Homemade Condensed Milk:
  • 2 cups milk (whole, almond, or coconut)
  • 1 cup raisins

Preparation

For the Creamer: 

1. Place all the ingredients, including optional flavorings, if desired, in a saucepan over low-medium heat. 

2. Whisk until thick, about 2-3 minutes. Cool and refrigerate until ready to use. 

For the Homemade Condensed Milk: 

1. Place the milk and raisins in a bowl, cover, and soak overnight in the refrigerator.

2. Strain the milk into a bowl or pitcher and discard the raisins (or eat as a snack!)
