It’s not often that I get to do two of my favorite things: hang out with my girlfriends and cook together. With so much of my time and energy being put into work and my kids I often forget to do something fun for myself that really gives back to my soul. I’ve been using Pampered Chef products for years, but up until the other night, I had never been to one of their parties! I wanted an excuse to do it, so I invited over a gaggle of ladies, put out tons of appetizers on one of their gorgeous boards, popped open some wine, turned on holiday music…waited for the fun to start!

My consultant, Megan, and I decided on making a Chicken Tortilla Soup and a Chocolate Peanut Butter Lava Cake during my party. As a busy mom, like most of my girlfriends, one of my favorite things was making such flavorful dishes in under an hour. At every turn, our consultant showed us how to use different kitchen tools which make generally laborious kitchen jobs happen in seconds with such ease. Megan walked us through each step of the recipes as we took turns peeling garlic (but actually we didn’t even have to peel with their garlic press), chopping peppers, and learning different tricks to each product. My kids became obsessed with their gravity tongs, and honestly, I can’t blame them.

The party was the best way to “try before you buy” to really see everything in action, and understand how you would use it in your day-to-day life. Like I said, I’ve been a fan of their products for years, but it’s always so helpful to have a consultant show you ALL the ways you can use something. I hate having something that only has one use in my kitchen, and I was so pleased to see that most of their products have multiple purposes.

I’m confident in the kitchen, but it was fun to see some of my kitchen-shy friends come out of their shell and see that they were capable of cooking yummy meals in 30 minutes or less. The first step to becoming a better cook is cooking! And, what a fun and pressure-less way to learn than in your own kitchen (with some wine in hand, and the entertainment of your friends).

My advice to get more confident? Grab your girlfriends, husband, neighbors and host your own party. There are all kinds of perks like discounts and free products – check out their page to see the host benefits this month!

Thanks to Pampered Chef for sponsoring this post, and thanks to Megan for showing us how fun it is to be a Pampered Chef consultant. All thoughts are my own. I can’t tell you how much fun we had and can’t wait to do it again!
I completely agree about wanting to have gadgets that have more than one purpose in my kitchen or there just gets to be too many. You all look like you are having a great time in your group photo, too! Thanks for sharing!
Love Weelicious!!!!!! Looks so fun!
