Throw this into the mix of a fussy eater… children with several food allergies, and the normal go-to meals are out of the question. My son eats extremely limited amounts of meat, and will not eat beans. My protein options are dwindling. My daughter has a severe dairy allergy so unfortunately we limit his intake of dairy as well. He has his milk, and an occasional serving of cheese. I know its selfish not to allow it in his diet more, however the risk of her accidently ingesting it weighs heavier on our minds. Thankfully there are some recipes on this site that give us additional ideas.
I have been stressed out by all those factors. Now I am taking a little break from working outside the home and I don’t have the stress of the time crunch. It is wonderful, I have to say, although sometimes I still lack the motivation to make something complex. At those times, I look to websites like yours for inspiration.
The one thing that stresses me most about preparing dinner & meals is the deciding & knowing what to make. It would have been interesting to see how the results would have played out with that option included;)
I try to make meal plans ahead of time and still have a hard time deciding what to choose sometimes.
It is really interesting to see that the bigger parts are ‘lack of time’ and ‘fussy eaters’. I wonder if the two are related?
I enjoyed the survey and the results =)
I did a post about your site today and how many GREAT ideas I’ve gleaned from it. Thank you so much for sharing your talents with us!
I also tried my hand at creating a chocolate zucchini muffin since your bread in Kenya’s lunch box looked so good the other day! Here’s what I came up with: http://www.livingwiththreeboys.com/2011/09/new-recipes-make-me.html
I like surveys too, and this one was fun….tho it left me with more questions about kids!!
My daugher is the oppisite I send either 2 types of fruit or a fruit and a veg everyday and a sandwich, cracker ect and she normally only eats the fruit and veggies
I pack fresh fruits and veg in my child’s lunch everyday, but comes back home untouched!
I’m obsessed with surveys. I find it so interesting to see peoples cooking, feeding and eating habits, likes and dislikes.
I love surveys. that looks like alot of conscientious, cooking parents. Good for them. My wife makes all our babies’ food from scratch. Used to puree now she’s eats it herself. Soon, she’ll be packing the lunchbox.
