Who needs Starbucks when you can make your own homemade Gingerbread Latte. The cinnamon, nutmeg, and molasses flavors will warm you right up.

I have a total soft spot for warm, seasonal holiday drinks at coffee shops like Pumpkin Spice Lattes and Peppermint Mochas. Are you with me on this one? In the same way that stopping for a scoop or ice cream feels, there’s something special about taking the kids out to get a favorite warm drink. The only real downside is when I stop to look at the nutritional information on their recipes and realize the amount of sugar and additives in each cup full. Not exactly what I was corsing through my body. How hard could it be to make my own specialty drinks? I’ve found out it’s actually really easy!

I’ve a total gingerbread lover no matter how you spin it. From gingerbread pancakes to gingerbread doughnuts, gingerbread bundt cake and of course my kids endless love for gingerbread cookies, we have the smell wafting throughout our kitchen all November and December long. After all, when it’s holiday season I want to be wrapped up in the smell of fresh spices and molasses all season long.

Now let’s get down to the nitty gritty. I like my Gingerbread Latte just as it’s written here, but you can 100% play around with the milk choice. In the past I’ve made this with low fat or whole cow’s milk, but recently I started using oat or pea milk and it’s insanely delicious. Want it even stronger? Just add another shot of espresso to make you feel nice and zippy throughout the day.

Pair this recipe with some of your favorite holiday cookies or my Baked Pumpkin Doughnuts, some holiday music and get ready snuggle up on your couch for the cold winter months.
