Perfect Brown Rice (makes 2 cups)

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup brown basmati rice (long grain), rinsed


1. Place the water in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Add the rice, and allow the water to come back up to a full boil.
2. Stir the rice, cover the pot with a lid, and reduce the heat to a simmer.
3. Cook for 40 minutes, or until all the water has absorbed. Fluff with a fork and serve.
