People ask me all the time if I exercise. Before I had kids (which I affectionately refer to as “BK”), I did every type of work out you can imagine, from boxing to pilates, yoga, running, weight training, stretch, rubber band classes, ballet and more. I savored every moment and felt great doing it, but after I had Kenya, then Chloe and Gemma, my time for myself and working out has all but disappeared.

That doesn’t mean that I don’t get to move around, though. Instead of heading to the gym or working out solo I do it with my kids. We turn on music anywhere from the kitchen to the car to anywhere we can turn on some tunes!

When Horizon told me about their initiative to donate $200,000 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, I was immediately in! Why? Not only because it’s an amazing cause, but because it centered around celebrating little life wins (like getting in a family workout!) and powering up passions that will lead to something stronger than bones: self-confidence! Since 1904, Big Brothers Big Sisters has been defending the potential of kids everywhere, providing children facing adversity with mentoring relationships that change their lives forever. The #HorizonConfiDANCE campaign will help BBBS recruit, train and support new matches.

Horizon has been our milk and cheese brand of choice for years because I love the taste and quality of their products. Their on-the-go organic protein foods, like single serve milk boxes and string cheese, save my day and give our family portable, protein-packed options for breakfast, lunch and especially snacks. With back-to-school here, it’s all about feeling confident through all the choices we make, from our food choices to movement and feeling strong.

You can join the fun, too, because for every dance shared on Instagram or Facebook by September 30th, Horizon Organic will give $5 to Big Brothers Big Sisters of America, up to $200k. Just use #HorizonConfiDANCE. Not only will you have a good time making it, but you’ll be changing a child’s life at the same time!

Hi, I’m Catherine. Mama of three. A Kentucky girl living in California. Here’s what I know: all kids can be great eaters and mealtime must be easy. I create simple, healthy recipes the whole family will love.
