Catherine is a mama of three. A Kentucky girl living in California. Here’s what I know: all kids can be great eaters and mealtime must be easy. I create simple, healthy recipes the whole family will love.
[…] BBQ Chicken Sammies, homemade hamburger buns, French fries, steamed green beans, grapes […]
i made mine in an all clad 6 1/2 quart slow cooker and they came out really dry. should i cut back half an hour’s worth of cooking or is that not safe?
[…] Shredded BBQ Chicken Sammie […]
Those rolls look like the slider buns from Trader Joe’s to me.
Where can you get these little rolls? My Publix doesn’t have any
I started making sandwiches like these earlier this summer and we LOVE them! I toss some chicken breasts in the crock pot with chopped onions and veggie broth and ignore it until dinner time. When it’s nearly time to serve, I drain the broth and shred the chicken right in the crock pot. Then I add the BBQ sauce and let it warm up for a few minutes. I’ve served them on King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls. Mmmm!
You can have this either way, they are both delicious!
So this is a cold sandwich? I usually warm the mixture in a skillet before putting on a (sometimes toasted) bun. And hubby likes pickles as well as cheese on his sandwich.
Shredded chicken with BBQ sounds delish; perfect for a hot summer day…thanks for sharing this recipe.
Enjoy your sunny weekend!
The only BBQ sauce I have found in the regular grocery store shelf without corn syrup is BulleEye. They have a few great flavors, my favorite one right now is Texan.
Hello! Sorry about the delay but your feature is posted today on my blog!Enjoy!
