Today is a big day. Today is the day I get to premiere for you the video for my new book, Weelicious Lunches_ Think Outside the Lunch Box with More Than 160 Happier Meals.

The hard part about shooting it was saying everything about the book I wanted to in under two minutes. I was first inspired to write a lunch book several years ago after hearing my son’s teachers’ concerns about what was passing for lunch in their students’ lunch boxes. I then listened to countless parents wrestle with how challenging they found packing their children healthful meals that were also appealing. I wanted this video to communicate all that as well as highlighting all the recipes, tips, resources and information I packed into the book.

You can buy Weelicious Lunches at your favorite book store starting September 3rd, or click on the link of your preferred online bookseller below to pre-order the book and have it delivered to your doorstep the very same day it’s published!

I really hope after reading the book that you and your kids will have bookmarked tons of pages so that whenever you’re in a lunch rut, you’ll have tons of fun ideas at your fingertips that you or your kids will enjoy making and eating!

If all this isn’t exciting enough, the day after the book is released, Daphne Oz from the Chew will interview me for a live online chat for Booktalk Nation, a streaming video website that supports independent book stores. Tune in on September 4th at 5pm EST/2pm PST and watch us talk about lunch, lunch and more lunch (who knows, maybe there will be a bit of girltalk, too!). If you want to be a part of the conversation, sign up here. Space is limited.

If I have one mission this fall it’s to get us and our kids eating better lunches when school is back in session, and we can do it together by spreading the word!
