Ground turkey taco bowls are an easy weeknight dinner the whole family can build their own way. Seasoned turkey, black beans, and crisp romaine, finished with a squeeze of fresh lime.
Heat the oil in a large sauté pan over medium-high heat. Add the onion and garlic and cook for 3 minutes.
Add the ground turkey and cook, letting it sear undisturbed for a minute before breaking it up with a wooden spoon, for 4 to 5 minutes, until browned.
Add the bell pepper, taco seasoning, and salt. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes, until the turkey is cooked through (165°F). Stir in the cilantro and lime juice, then remove from the heat.
Divide the lettuce among bowls. Top with the turkey, black beans, cheese, tomatoes, and a handful of chips.
Finish with guacamole, salsa, sour cream, and/or hot sauce. Or set everything out in separate bowls and let everyone build their own.
Notes
Storage: The turkey filling keeps in the fridge for up to 4 days, so it's an easy one to make ahead for quick bowls during the week.
