Experience
A childhood passion for cooking led Catherine to the Institute of Culinary Education in New York City, followed by several years working in high-end restaurant kitchens. Everything changed when she had her first child, Kenya. Searching for a resource that offered parents simple, nutritious, flavorful recipes made with minimal ingredients, she couldn’t find one, so in 2007 she created it herself.
What began as a place for new parents feeding babies and toddlers has grown right alongside her three children into a trusted resource for over 1,400 family-friendly recipes. Today Catherine spends her days developing recipes, creating cooking videos, and writing for Weelicious, with plenty of taste-testing help from her kids.
Catherine has appeared on The Today Show, Good Morning America, ABC’s The Chew, The Doctors, Access Hollywood Live, KTLA, and Fox News, and she hosted “On the Go with Catherine McCord,” a weekly segment on NBC’s Naturally, Danny Seo. She’s a regular judge on Food Network’s Guy’s Grocery Games and has guested on Next Food Network Star, Big Bad Budget Battle with Ree Drummond, Duff Till Dawn, and Super Chef Grudge Match.
