I always try to be sensitive to the fact while a recipe may be unbelievably easy for me, it might seem complicated for someone who rarely cooks. I did a book signing this past weekend and midway through, the most lovely young woman came up to talk to me. She appeared to be in her early 20's and said she had just started cooking from the Weelicious cookbook. The dishes she tackled were literally her first endeavors in the kitchen. Ever.
I wish I could describe to you the joy in her eyes as she recounted the recipes she worked on and within days had mastered. The kitchen can be an intimidating place, especially when you're just starting to cook, but with a bit of trial and error the feeling of success one can experience upon completing a new recipe can be exhilarating.
That's one of the reasons I started making weelicious cooking videos five years ago. I wanted readers to be able to watch every step of a recipe come to life from start to finish, hopefully giving them the courage to try new things on their own.
Hopefully after watching today's video you'll agree how simple these Egg and Bacon Muffins Cups are to prepare, even though they may seem challenging. Maybe you can even add this special dish to your own repertoire!
