It only took my kids two weeks of deliberating to decide what they want be for Halloween, but decisions have finally been made, costumes have been picked and now we’re ready for the big day. I wish we didn’t have to wait two weeks more for the big day, but knowing that Halloween falls on a Friday this year means we can stay up late, and that makes our whole family — even me — really excited. I’m sure you’ve got lots of spooky recipes planned for your celebration, but I’m here to offer you another fun one… Ghoulish Punch!
We’ve been buying fresh lychees at our local farmers’ market for some time. My kids go nuts for them. The more I stared at them in my kitchen, the more I realized they looked like eyes and they inspired today’s recipe. If your fingers can handle peeling tons of these naturally sweet little gems, go for it. But if you’re like me, a can of lychees is a much easier way to go . I whizzed up some all natural, dye-free cherry punch to go with them too. Ghoulish punch that’s super tasty and creepy all at the same time.
Ghoulish Punch
Ingredients
- 1 cup frozen cherries, defrosted
- 3 tablespoons honey
- 3 cups Sparkling Water or Club Soda
- 1 can lychee nuts, drained
- blueberries
Instructions
- Place the cherries, honey and 1 cup sparkling water in a blender and puree until smooth.
- Add the remaining sparkling water and stir to combine.
- Place 1 blueberry in each lychee and skewer on tooth picks or Halloween themed sticks.
- Pour cherry juice in glasses and top each with a lychee skewer.
Love this! We trade candy for toys in our house due to multiple food allergies but would love a story that gives the switch a positive spin!
The Switch Witch is a great idea!

I really like Milky Ways.
I loved kit Kats
Reeses!
Kit kats!
Chewy candy like licorice, dots, etc. I’d love to win this as I have a friend with one child who can’t have corn anything, amongst soooo many other things. He literally can’t keep food down if it has any of these seemingly random ingredients. So, this would make it more fun for him.
Reese’s Peanut Butter cups and Smarties!!!
my faves are twix and kit kat!
I always loved Reese’s Peanut Butter cups. Also, I would dump out all of my M&Ms, sort them by color, and eat the tan ones first. They were my favorite!
Two slices of apples, and I place small marshmallows in between them. They look like mouths, and make a healthy snack.
My favorite Halloween treat was Hershey bars with almonds!
loved candy apples!
Thanks for the recipe, was hoping to find something new this year. My favorite thing was always the home made popcorn balls from an elderly lady in my hometown.
Great giveaway, thanks!

My favorite candy was those peanut butter taffy like chews (wrapped in Orange or brown) or abba zabba.

What a great idea! And how is it I’ve gotten to kid number 6 without knowing about the Switch Witch? Just genius!
Hmm, a favorite candy. . .hard to decide! Reese’s pumpkins, the really fat tootsie rolls, and 3 Musketeers. All if which i don’t eat anymore 🙂
I love that Halloween is beginning to give kids with food allergies a way to be trendy and cool instead of the ‘odd kid out’. My son always has to have his treats modified to accommodate his needs to avoid all gluten, dairy, egg, and soy. Switchcraft would really make Halloween more fun for him. And the punch would make it tastier!
Mini Twix bars! And Nerds!
I’m so curious about this book! My favorite Halloween treats were always Almond Joys! And I’m not familiar with lychees so I’ll have to check them out.
My husband is from Sri Lanka and loves Lychee! Maybe I’ll make this punch for the little boys and the “big” boy 🙂
