How to Make Sushi Sandwiches + A Video

Do you find yourself making the same old sandwich for school lunch every day? Or maybe you're looking to shake up your school lunch routine without totally abandoning your kid's favorite sandwich?

Here's the answer: sushi. I'm not talking about raw fish and rice, I'm talking about sushi inspired sandwiches like Tuna and Carrot Hummus. With the exact same ingredients you normally use to make a sandwich and the aid of a simple rolling pin, you can turn a sandwich your kids already love into visually enticing "sushi". The pieces are so easy to pick up, they turn a sandwich into the ideal finger food.

Add these sushi sandwiches to school lunches, or arrange on a platter with your favorite fruits and veggies for a fun after school snack!

Love the sushi sandwiches! One of my daughter's favorite sushi sandwich combos is basically the pumpkin quesedillas recipe on Weelicious but in sushi form (a layer of cream cheese topped with ;ayer of pumpkin puree then cinnamon and then drizzled with honey, then rolled up) My daughter loves the pumpkin quesadillas, but I found them to be a little too messy for school lunch...I think they work even better as a sushi sandwich...and they are so yummy - even for grown up pumpkin addicts!!

I helped out in my son's preschool classroom today and brought the ingredients for sushi sandwiches. First, the teachers showed the children your video., then they had a chance to make their own. We feasted on them for snack time, and there was not a morsel left over! Thanks for a fun recipe.

I saw this on Pinterest the other day and tried it with peanut butter and a banana in the middle. Delicious but not an option for pre-k due to a strict 'no nut' policy. I am thrilled to have discovered your website.

We use pumpkin seed butter with bananas for nut free lunches. My son loves them. Often use tortillas instead of bread.
