It wasn’t until after my kids were out of the baby food puree stage that I realized just how easy it was to cook for them. Now I see so clearly how just a few veggies mixed with a little somethin’ somethin’ (pasta sauce and parmesan in the case of this recipe) can transform simple vegetables into something magical. Watch your baby’s face as he tries his first, then second, then third bites of this delicious Italian Green Vegetable Puree. I always found that seeing the wonder on my kids’ faces as they started discovering new foods and flavors to be among the most exciting and precious moments of my early mommyhood.

Sorry to bother again, but how old were your kids when they had this?
I added ground turkey to it and doubled the batched. I just stuck it in the freezer! What a great dinner for my baby boy – so nutritious! Thanks!
My husband who normally hate vegetables tasted this right out of the food processor and said “yum, what is this? Pasta sauce?” Yep! :)and He loved it, 10 month old loved it, I loved it…awesome all around!
I made this for the first time tonight and my 11 month old son LOVED it! He ended up having almost 2 servings of it. I mixed it with rice, because that is what the rest of the family was having for dinner.
I’ ve found the alphabet pasta and tiny flower pasta at the local grocery store (Winco). But they weren’t with all of the pasta where ou would expect them to be. They were down the ethnic isle, with Mexican foods. Don’t know if that will help any but maybe ask the store to see if they are in a different place. I lucked upon them about a year ago and make homemade “spaghettiOs” with the tiny flower pasta, tomato soup and Italian seasoning.
I get them at whole foods.
oddly enough, they carry an organic brand at my toys r us.
That looks great! Let’s hope my 17 month old will eat his veggies. Where do you find alphabet pasta? I’ve tried Trader Joe’s and Whole Foods with no luck.
love this! great babies and i love the second idea to toss it with pasta for bigger kids! two meals in one! i will definitely be making for my new lil one and my daughter!
