Savory Toast 8 Ways

Who doesn't love toast?! You take your favorite bread, toast it to golden perfection, and top with any of your favorite flavors. It is such a quick breakfast when you’re heading out the door to school and work, or an easy snack while waiting for dinner. Kenya and Chloe have even gotten in on the act especially on the weekend after we go to the farmers market and want to use some of our bounty.

My hubby gets his special whole grain bread from the farmer’s market each week, comes home and tops it with butter, cream cheese or an endless array of spreads. The whole family has been having fun making their own savory toast combinations. They love how easily it spreads right out of the fridge - so it doesn't tear the bread. I love that is contains less than half the saturated fat of butter, and that it doesn't contain artificial flavors or preservatives. My family gets to have fun topping their toast, and I get to rest easy knowing  that I am serving them a great product.

Yummm--especially that corn one! Be great with crumbled bacon too.

I know this is a B&B sponsored post, so I hesitate to add this, but I gotta bang the drum for butter. Especially because you're such a healthy mom blogger. There's nothing wrong with saturated fat--butter, cream, lard, tallow--so long as it comes from healthy, humanely raised, grass-fed and pastured animals. It's loaded with essential nutrients we need. I'd be more concerned about the oil in this spread, depending on what kind it is, and the corn, even organic, the cows are given.

Sorry if that's not a welcome perspective! As I say, this is kind of a thing of mine :)

    Thanks for the great blog!

All perspectives are welcome as long as they are communicated in kindness! I appreciate your insight, and I agree the corn toast would be delicious with crumbled bacon. :)
