My Mom's White Chicken Chili VIDEO

Share

Yum

My mom makes the most incredible White Chicken Chili. However, like so many family recipes, the ingredient list has never been written down. At my insistence a few years ago, my mom rattled off a list to me of what she put in it and ever since, using a little this, a little of that, and a lot of love, I've been creating my own version of this heart warming stew.

Even now when we're on the phone with each other from across the country and I ask my mom what she and my dad are having for dinner, more times than not she'll tell me she pulled a batch of this delectable stew out of the freezer to warm up for dinner. It's that easy, and it's that good.

Watch this video to get a few quick tips on how you can pull it off in no time flat -- for Super Bowl or anytime!

Where's Waldo?! If you can spot the goof in the video, you'll be entered for a chance to win a signed copy of Weelicious Lunches!

Sounds like a great recipe. Have you ever done this in a slow cooker rather than on the stovetop?

Wow! First, the “Where’s Waldo,” was of course the outfit change. I am not sure if you did this purposely, but I loved how when you were making the chilly, your outfit was simple and ready to cook. But after it was finished, you were warm for winter and ready to have guests come over to enjoy the meal. it shows what you can do in the time your meals take to cook. Love the idea!

What a simple and delightful recipe. I can’t wait to try it. As for the goof, did you stammer a little while tearing the luscious chicken pieces? If that was the blooper, you pulled it off beautifully, no pun intended.

I made this last week and it was amazing,! My kids gobbled it down while saying “yum, this is great, Mom!” The problem with the video is that your sweater changed from a purple one to a black one when you left the chicken to cook! Both super cute sweaters, though ;)

I’m a big fan of white chicken chili — probably more so than normal chili.. I don’t why I haven’t been cooking the chicken directly in the broth this whole time, but I bet it adds SO much flavor. Love the video too!
