Air frying salmon gives you the juiciest salmon with a crispy exterior every time. This Air Fryer Salmon recipe will be the new way you make salmon every time!
Air Fryers are all the rage these days. You might think it’s just another appliance to sit on your kitchen counter and not be used, but believe me when I tell you it’s so worth it. We use our air fryer every single day, multiple times a day. It’s the most used small appliance in our kitchen. It makes every recipe better. Vegetables are crispy, chicken and other meats are tender. Not to mention there’s not pre-heat time and the clean up is a breeze. If you don’t have one, I highly recommend!
Air Fryer Salmon is next level and has been my new go-to way to prepare this flaky, mild fish. I love making this recipe because since I have a large enough air fryer, I can make this salmon at the same time as a few pieces of Bacon Wrapped Air Fried Asparagus and have a full meal ready to go at one time. Of course, if you don’t have an air fryer you can always make this Simple Broiled Salmon which also creates a juicy, tender piece of salmon.
We’ve been making this recipe so much lately and it never gets old. We switch up the sides quite a bit. One night it’s Crispy Smashed Potatoes and Cast Iron Brussels Sprouts with Pomegranate and Garlic and another night it’s Brown Rice Cakes and Grilled Lemon Asparagus. It’s all very simple, but we vary enough to not get bored. Just because it’s easy doesn’t mean it doesn’t taste absolutely heavenly!
After you try this recipe, Air Fryer Salmon will be on your menu every week for weeks to come. As always, if you try this or any weelicious recipe, let me know on social media or in the comments below!
Air Fryer Salmon
Ingredients
Instructions
- Place salmon skin side down in air fryer basket. Drizzle and rub with oil and sprinkle with paprika and salt.
- Place lemon halves in air fryer basket next to salmon.
- Turn air fryer to 400 degrees and cook salmon for 15 minutes or until starting to turn golden.
- * if you have a large air fryer you can add halved asparagus, broccoli florets or zucchini coins tossed in olive oil and salt to cook at the same time.
Seems like it might be a good idea to spray the basket with some oil or something like that… we were very sad to lose the skin to the air fryer basket!
I’m always looking for alternatives to heating up the oven, especially during our Phoenix summers. Thanks to you, Catherine, I can now check off my (up til now, excellent) roasted salmon routine and use my tiny, but indispensable air fryer instead. I was a bit dubious about cooking a whole pound at once, jammed in, edge to edge, but I followed your instructions to the letter. When it was done, I had next level salmon. Tender, juicy, savory and crispy all at the same time. Thank you for creating a winning recipe. I can’t imagine cooking salmon any other way!
