Strawberry Peach Smoothie

If anyone would like to clue my husband in to what I’d really love for Mother’s Day this year, here goes: breakfast in bed featuring the New York Times, Whole Wheat Waffles (recipe coming this week) and a tall glass (with a long straw) of this Strawberry Peach Smoothie. It’s cool, refreshing and a perfect start to my dream Mother’s Day. So if you any of you happen to talk to my husband, that’s what I want. Oh, that and non-stop love, hugs and kisses from my crew all day (and of course a full night’s sleep prior to that, if someone wants to also talk to Kenya and Chloe). That’s truly all I need to be happy and get me through to the next day, when I’ll be back in mommy mode taking care of everyone and probably making them all this same smoothie! :)

Strawberry Peach Smoothie (Serves 4)

1 1/2 Cup Strawberries
1 1/2 Cup Frozen Peaches
1 1/2 Cups Milk
1/2 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt
1 Tbsp Honey

1. Place all the ingredients in a food processor and puree until smooth.
2. Serve.

  1. We love smoothies at our house. It’s such a great way to get lots of nutrition in our kids with little effort. I saw a recipe online to put spinach in with blueberries for a smoothie and my kids have been eating way more greens ever since! This strawberry peach one looks soo good!

My mother’s currently going through chemo. And smoothies are the only thing she can hold down. But, honestly, the way she makes smoothies isn’t very good. So I got on here and used this! And I put it in the freezer and when she came home I left her a note to look and she loved it! Thank you so much!

  7. I am not a big smoothie fan, but this one is lovely. I add oats and a spoonful of maple syrup instead of honey when I need an extra kick in the mornings or feel a bit bloated.

Can I use frozen strawberries since fresh ones are really expensive right now and going out of season?
