One of my favorite parts of summertime, besides pool parties and having the kids out of school, is the produce. When our farmers market in LA starts getting all the bright beautiful summer fruit and vegetables at the booths my eyes absolutely light up! If I had to choose two summer fruits (even though it’s like trying to choose a favorite child…impossible) I would choose strawberries and peaches.

While I love all summer fruit, like watermelon and for example, there’s something about strawberries and peaches that really do it for me. There are so many recipes you can make with those two fruits, like this Strawberry Peach Smoothie, that are absolutely delicious.

Not to mention all the other recipes like Strawberry MuffinsPeach Snack CakePeach & Strawberry ShortcakesStrawberry Lemon Hand Pies plus SO many more. These two fruits are my favorites to come up with recipes for this time of year.

  1. Can I use frozen strawberries since fresh ones are really expensive right now and going out of season?

  2. I am not a big smoothie fan, but this one is lovely. I add oats and a spoonful of maple syrup instead of honey when I need an extra kick in the mornings or feel a bit bloated.

  3. My mother’s currently going through chemo. And smoothies are the only thing she can hold down. But, honestly, the way she makes smoothies isn’t very good. So I got on here and used this! And I put it in the freezer and when she came home I left her a note to look and she loved it! Thank you so much!

  4. YUMMY!!! Definitely one of the best smoothie I’ve ever tasted:) Can’t wait for my 16 month old to try it when you wakes up from his nap:)

  5. We love smoothies at our house. It’s such a great way to get lots of nutrition in our kids with little effort. I saw a recipe online to put spinach in with blueberries for a smoothie and my kids have been eating way more greens ever since! This strawberry peach one looks soo good!
