There’s nothing cuter than watching kids try to build a bite of nachos off of a platter heaping with an array of luscious ingredients trying to build the perfect bite. I’ve watched both of my kids attempt this when I make Greek Nachos, All Veggie Nachos, Healthy Nachos and even Buggy Nacho Dip on Halloween. There’s something about the balancing act of getting everything on top of the chip to create that perfect, satisfying bite.

In order to help everyone along I came up with these Nacho Scoopers. They’re the perfect answer to making sure that you don’t miss a single ingredient in your nachos recipe.

For these Nacho Scoopers I like to take really big and sturdy nacho chips and layer them with healthy refried beans, guacamole, sour cream, jalapeños that have been seeded (an important step if you’re serving them to little kids) and a sweet cherry tomato on top. You can totally make them your own by adding other ingredients like olives, grated cheese, chopped sautéed peppers or even cooked sausage.

Don’t feel trapped by the ingredients in the recipe when you can make them your own, just like my Breakfast Nachos and Vegetarian Sheet Pan Nachos recipes, this one is all about improvisation and a tasty one at that! Plus, there’s nothing harder than trying to share a plate of nachos (every always steals the best bites!). These individual stacks are perfect because every bite has all the best toppings! They’re great for parties and get togethers because of that too. Make these next time you have people over to watch football or for your kid’s birthday party.

This video will give you all of the building blocks for how to make them, but feel free to make them your own. If you really wanted to go crazy you could make Nachos Scoopers inspired by places from around the world. Maybe I’ll have to work on that for my next video 😉

  1. I love following your insta site! I even bought the metal lunch trays and love them however do you have a rec for lunch tote/box to carry them in? I tried milk dot which should have worked measurement wise but did not. Thanks so much!
