Knowing I’ve gotten a full serving of fruits and vegetables in my body before my day really gets started makes me feel SO good. It’s really the best way to get moving and ready to tackle your day. Smoothies are such a great way to fit in extra veggies, protein or supplements while getting to drink something that tastes absolutely incredible.

This Super Green Tropical Smoothie has been one of my go-to’s lately. It’s only a few ingredients and packed with nutrient dense kale and spinach. But it doesn’t taste “green” thanks to the natural sweetness from the banana, mango and pineapple. Gemma loves this smoothie. The texture is pretty thick on this one so she likes to eat it with a spoon like it’s ice cream. If you wanted it to be less thick, you can of course add more milk of your choice until it’s perfect for you.

Smoothie Project Cookbook

What began as a mom looking for a solution to uncover the mystery behind her son not feeling well, turned into a global movement of others focused on changing their health through what they’re drinking every day. This isn’t a diet or fad—The Smoothie Project is a way of life that ranges from birth to AARP and beyond.

Even before I released the Smoothie Project cookbook, I was making smoothies for me and my family every morning. It’s become a ritual at this point and almost meditative for me. Some of our favorites for a long time have been Blueberry Chia SmoothieBerry Green SmoothieCrazy Healthy Smoothie and Chocolate Peanut Butter Smoothie to name a few. The best part about smoothies is how customizable they are. You really can add whatever you want or need to them and not go wrong.
